GCA is a dedicated team of child protection specialists whose mission is to strengthen the layers of protection around children to prevent abuse, trafficking, and exploitation.
Our vision is to see every child thriving in a protective and caring family.
We pursue our vision through four areas of focus:
Family Preservation
We strengthen, equip, and empower vulnerable families to keep and provide for their children within a safe and stable environment.
Advocacy
We advocate locally and globally for every child who has lost their family to be raised in a safe and protective family.
Transforming Care
We equip and assist child welfare and local organizations to place children in need of protection into safe kinship and foster families, instead of orphanages.
Permanency
We pursue a permanent family for every child with their biological parents, relatives, or adoptive families.
Social enterprise is a powerful facet of GCA’s approach to family preservation. Sojourn Studio empowers young women and moms on the Thailand-Myanmar border through dignified work.
