Ashlee Heiligman, MSW
Global Director, GCA and Co-Founder, Sojourn Studio
Ashlee Heiligman is a licensed social worker with a Bachelor and Master of Social Work specializing in Direct Practice with Children and Families. Ashlee has 16 years of child welfare experience both in the U.S. and abroad. She serves as the Global Director of GCA, an international team of child protection specialists working on the ground in Thailand, Myanmar, and Tanzania.
Ashlee serves on the advisory network for Faith to Action. With an earnest desire to see children protected within safe families, Ashlee co-produced the advocacy series Reimagine Orphan Care in collaboration with GCA's partner, The Archibald Project.
Ashlee also co-founded GCA’s social enterprise, Sojourn Studio, in 2017 in order to provide dignified work and a community of support for vulnerable teens and moms. Sojourn Studio designs are now sold across the U.S. and in Thailand. All profits are used to empower more women from Myanmar.
Ashlee is based near Austin, Texas with her family.
