Protection through Permanency
Protection through Permanency is a strategy designed to provide vulnerable children with a foundation of safety, stability, and enduring relationships, ensuring they are shielded from harm while enabling them to thrive emotionally, socially, and physically. By focusing on permanency, children are placed in environments where they are less vulnerable to abuse, trafficking, and exploitation, while gaining the security and connections necessary to build a bright future.
Family Preservation Programs
Building Parents’ Resilience
We build intentional relationships with families in marginalized communities. Through regular home visits, we help parents build essential coping skills. When families are at-risk of separation, we come alongside and connect them with tangible resources and income opportunities. We strengthen their connections & relationships that provide emotional, informational, instrumental and spiritual support.
Early Childhood Development
We provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where preschool-aged children are loved and cared for while their parents work. Children are able to build their creative and cognitive abilities, while gaining basic literacy, mathematics and science through play. We also help children to communicate clearly, recognize, and regulate their emotions and establish and maintain healthy relationships.
Crisis Nutrition & Support in Times of Need
For families who are already struggling to make ends meet, a short-term crisis can lead to family breakdown. We provide temporary nutrition and financial support to help families persevere through crisis and get back on their feet. This prevents parents from sending children to an orphanage based on desperation or a scarcity mindset.
Parenting & Child Protection Training
Parents and caregivers who understand attachment, brain development, and the impact of childhood trauma are better able to care for children and prevent trauma. We also teach parents how to protect their own children from threats within their communities and trafficking.
